Branded Style Curation for Sarah Bradshaw Photography

Brand Shoot Photographer: Abby Grace Photography

On shoot day, at the very first brand shoot I styled, Abby (Abby Grace Photography was my first brand styling client, in early 2020) posted an instagram story quickly flipping through the Style Guide I had created for her (we had a physical copy of it on set at the shoot, to use as a shoot day reference).

As I had pulled the looks together for that first shoot, I knew I wanted to give Abby more. More than just links to shop for pieces she wouldn’t bother to wear again… I wanted intention and strategy – looks that would serve her closet for more than just a one day event, plus the why behind them in a guide that she could use as a closet reference moving forward. I was really passionate about bringing that part of it to the table, not just 3 trendy one and done looks.

Sarah saw the insta story peeking at the Style Guide and immediately reached out – she was in the process of prepping for her brand shoot and the water was getting muddy when it came to how many options there were for looks, but maybe I could simplify it for her?

The Style Guide brought Sarah my way, and became my secret sauce as I pulled each of my brand shoot styling projects together. (There’s more to the story, and I had the privilege to talk about it with Shanna Skidmore here!)

Over the next two weeks, we pulled together the looks for Sarah’s shoot, as well as her Style Guide. My favorite pieces? That Ralph Lauren plaid blazer, and the horse print maxi dress – two of the ultimate representations of the classic legacy & style that is Sarah’s unique brand.

Brand shoot styling isn’t just about finding beautiful clothes that capture attention, it’s about finding the merging point of your personal style, and what your target audience needs to see in order to trust you.
