behind the scenes

Hi there! I’m Katherine, designer, wife to a handsome Frenchman, mama to three bilingual littles, and fancy schmancy tea drinker. Looseleaf, with milk, in a pretty china teacup. It’s my favorite part of the day. Except for the part when I have an espresso with too much cream or a glass of wine. I could spend my entire life sitting down having heart-to-hearts curled up with a cozy drink. (And probably wearing something floral print, I think it’s all I own.) My husband would tell you I’m fluent in French with an adorable accent, and that I’m kind of an incredible cook, even though I always burn grilled cheese sandwiches (his words, I promise!), my sister would tell you I’m a bit obsessed with Anthropologie and I love decorating our cozy little home with fancy kitchen pretties, homemade quilts, and art from everywhere we travel, and my 3 year old has recently taken to calling me “Your Majesty”, so I guess life is basically perfect. But seriously.
I met my husband when I lived abroad in Paris for a year working, exploring the French culture, learning to cook and honing in on my love for fashion and art. Upon returning to the states, I studied Fine Arts in a year long intensive program, and then attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts, with honors, in Intimate Apparel Design, as well as studying methods of couture sewing for special occasion and bridal, and fine tailoring. I believe wholeheartedly in the vision of a marriage even more beautiful than your wedding, and my heart behind this brand is to give people a tangible memory to hold on to from the day they promised forever, to encourage them to remember that their story is beautiful, and their marriage is incredible, and their love is the legacy that they are leaving for their children. I design because I love to tell stories, and I would love the honor of telling yours.
